Manicure Monday: Featuring Julep Florence (and Bornprettystore Water Decals!)

Hello there! Today I wanted to show you a cute fall nail look! I think this color is such a nice neutral color and the colorful leaves makes the whole look even better!

I received the Julep polish using a promo code for their monthly beauty box (for the month of October).  Julep has monthly subscription boxes, if you are interested. You normally get $40+ worth of products for $24.99. The boxes are fully customizable as well! If you are interested, check out julep.com and become a maven! Julep does have promotions for first time members and such throughout the year, so do keep your eyes on the look out for that if you want to try these boxes. As fun as these boxes are, I only did the trial box and cancelled the subscription, as I don't feel like I need to pay so much just for nail polishes (I need to slow down on my nail polish collection too!) If you are a Julep fan, then by all means, try out the boxes! I am not trying to discourage you, it's definitely worth the price if you love Julep polishes!

As for the little water decals, I received it from a Twitter giveaway hosted by bornprettystore.com! I've never tried water decals before, and to my surprise, these are so easy to use! Definitely spruces up any kind of nail look. If you are interested in the water decals I used, check out the product link here!
Julep Florence is a nude kind of shade. If I could describe it, I'd say it is a white toned, light tan color. It kind of reminds me of a camel! Very classic and clean color. Perfect for a professional look! Application is just fine with this polish. I find that it is a bit streaky, so two coats at least to reach opacity. Even as I'm staring at my nails now, I probably should have done a third coat, as I still see a bit of streakiness. The longevity of the polish is good, it takes at least 4-5 days before I get some ugly chipping.

I wanted to add an accent to these nails, so I used the little water decals. Instructions are included with the water decals, so I didn't feel too lost. Basically, you just need your base coat completely dry, dunk the sticker in the water, slide it off and stick it on your water-moistened nail. After that point, you can still rearrange it as you'd like, dab off excess water and add a top coat. Very easy, right? I think it makes the nails look more fun! There's so much you can do with these! I will let you know at a later time how well it holds, but for now, all I can tell you is that it doesn't obviously look like a sticker; it blends into the nail nicely. You definitely need the top coat though!

I apologize if this Manicure Monday post seems a bit short, but I still hope you enjoyed the look! The weather's been getting colder and colder nowadays! I think SoCal is officially in the autumn season!

Good luck with your week! Stay warm and take care!
