Hello there! How did your week go? We have finally reached the weekend! Party mode! Or....I guess...relaxation mode! Anything sounds better than working! Today I wanted to share with you a product my (dirty) hair has been absolutely loving...the Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo! As you know, I am one who likes trying out new dry shampoos. My roots can get pretty oily even when I don't skip a day of washing my hair. A couple months ago, I was browsing around Sephora looking for some fun products to add to my shopping cart, and I found this limited edition product!
The packaging actually drew me in. It's such a clean but colorful design. I was actually in the market for a non-aerosol can but I ended up wanting to try this one.
I had ordered this online and I had my fingers crossed that this would smell okay and work out decently. During the time, I was using the Dove Invigorating Dry Shampoo and I could not stand the smell. (I am still using the Dove so I can at least finish it up and not let it go to waste.)
If you are looking for dry shampoo that is just used for the purpose of refreshing your hair, then this is a good one for you. It does a wonderful job of absorbing the excess oil. It has a really nice fruity, sweet scent as well! I'm obsessed with the scent (I'm thinking of grabbing a back-up since it is limited edition!) There is not a white cast when using this product. Unless you just concentrate it on one area and keep spraying, it is basically an invisible dry shampoo.
It doesn't really add a lot of texture or volume to your hair. There are pros and cons to this, but like I mentioned before if you're looking for a good dry shampoo that is just to absorb those excess oils ,this product will suffice. It's really lightweight though, it doesn't weigh your hair down and it doesn't feel like you have any gunk and junk in your hair. I think it does a nice job of making your hair look refreshed, and to me, I don't find the scent offensive or overpowering either.
- Something to note, is that this product is free of aluminum shavings, instead, it contains a natural rice starch. It is also talc-free!
- Obliphica (Sea Buckthorn Berry) extract: conditions hair, leaving it soft and manageable.

I am really enjoying this dry shampoo. It smells fruity and sweet and I actually do like the scent. This product does a nice job of absorb the excess oils, though it doesn't add much volume or texture to my hair. My concern with any kind of dry shampoo is just how well it absorbs oil; it is not a priority of mine to have volume and texture. Anyways, I don't have to worry about it giving me a white cast on my hair and it doesn't weigh my hair down. I'm okaay... with the price tag; I find that it is on the pricier side. 9/10!
